Selection notes
- Choose the Ex marking for the gas group at site: IIB covers IIB gases such as ethylene; sites with hydrogen, acetylene or other IIC gases need IIC. Temperature class T4 covers gases with an ignition temperature above 135 °C.
- The standard version is for indoor use. State outdoor, anti-corrosion (W, WF1, WF2, F1, F2) or tropical (TH, TA, THW, TAW) conditions in your enquiry.
- At 380 V, motors up to 3 kW are star-connected and larger motors delta-connected. Please state 660 V, 690 V, 380/660 V or 60 Hz in the selection form if required.
- Outputs in brackets are non-preferred ratings; for the same output, choose the frame without brackets where possible. For variable-speed operation, give the speed range and load type so we can confirm the motor configuration.

Can the YBX4-355S replace a YBX3 motor on the same frame?
Yes, for mounting. YBX3, YBX4 and YBX5 motors of the same frame size share the same mounting dimensions. The 355S frame has a shaft height of 355 mm; see the dimension tables above. Check the output, poles and Ex marking when replacing.
What is the Ex marking of the
Ex d IIB T4 Gb / Ex d IIC T4 Gb. Choose IIB or IIC for the gas group at site. The enclosure is IP55.
