YBX3-355L is the 355L frame size (shaft height H = 355 mm) of the Shangli YBX3 series of IE3 high-efficiency flameproof three-phase induction motors. YBX3, YBX4 and YBX5 motors of the same frame size share the same mounting dimensions. Source: Shangli general motor catalogue. HE is the overall height of flange-mounted versions; overall length L varies slightly with terminal box and mounting arrangement and is confirmed on the approval drawing.

- Choose the Ex marking for the site: Ex d I Mb for underground coal mines with firedamp (methane); Ex d IIA T4 Gb or Ex d IIB T4 Gb for IIA and IIB explosive gas atmospheres other than coal mines; Ex d IIC T4 Gb where hydrogen or acetylene is present (the YBX3 IIC version has a different terminal box but the same outputs and mounting dimensions).
- Service conditions: altitude up to 1000 m, ambient -20 to +40 °C; the basic version is for indoor use. Please state outdoor (W), indoor / outdoor humid tropical (TH / WTH), indoor / outdoor dry tropical (TA / WTA), indoor / outdoor tropical (T / WT) or outdoor medium anti-corrosion (WF1) in your enquiry.
- Rated voltage 380, 660, 1140, 380/660 or 660/1140 V at 50 Hz; enclosure IP55, IP56 or IP66.
- Outputs in brackets are non-preferred ratings; for the same output, choose the frame without brackets where possible. For higher efficiency the same frame can be supplied as YBX4 (IE4) or YBX5 (IE5) with unchanged mounting dimensions.

Can the YBX3-355L replace a YB3 or YB2 flameproof motor?
YBX3 is derived from the YB3 series and has the same outputs and mounting dimensions as YB3. The 355L frame has a shaft height of 355 mm; see the dimension tables above. Check the output, poles and Ex marking when replacing.
Which Ex markings are available for the
The basic version is marked Ex d I Mb, Ex d IIA T4 Gb and Ex d IIB T4 Gb. For hydrogen or acetylene atmospheres a IIC version marked Ex d IIC T4 Gb is available. Enclosure IP55; IP56 and IP66 available.
